Animal Ordering

Simplifies the ordering process with auto-filled protocol information based on Dashboard selections and a wide range of customizable form fields, including titles, units, inputs, and required fields. The form auto-completes when only one option is available, and users can save drafts until ready to submit. A progress bar clearly displays the current order status and available actions, while configurable state machines allow your institution to tailor workflows to your specific needs.

Customizable Cage Cards

Streamlines animal tracking by auto-filling details from Orders, Imports, Weans, or Transfers. Cards can be edited and printed in batches or individually, and each includes a unique QR code for mobile access to cage-specific notes and order details. Customizable templates let institutions display the information they need, while digital history tracks all previous versions. Photo uploads are also supported for quick updates in the room.

Animal Transfers

Allows users to initiate animal transfers either from a specific cage or directly from a Protocol page. It features an intuitive form designed for easy request submission and accurate record keeping, with filtered dropdowns to streamline selection. A built-in verification system helps prevent errors—particularly valuable when maintaining Census accuracy—ensuring smooth and reliable animal transfers.

Census & Audits

Makes it easy to audit room cages and equipment by scanning Cage Card QR codes or asset tags with a mobile device. It captures a snapshot of cage locations on a specific date and provides a complete history for each cage. The module flags any inconsistencies in cage location timelines, helping admin users quickly identify discrepancies in billing reports and census data for more accurate facility records.

Mobile-Friendly Design

The VOS application is designed to be fully mobile-friendly, offering complete functionality across tablets and mobile devices without compromising performance. This flexibility allows staff to perform tasks on the go using handheld devices, whether they're auditing cages, scanning QR codes, updating records, or submitting forms—right from animal rooms or other remote locations. As long as Wi-Fi or mobile data is available, users can access the full range of VOS features, making workflows more efficient and reducing the need to return to a desktop between tasks.
